The Reds won their third game out of four against Ammanford with a 1-0 win against a good Friday night crowd at The Rec.

Manager Carl Shaw was without Ian Hillier, Darius Waters and Warren Hudson through injury and named 17 year old youth midfielder Jared Lake on the bench for his first appearance in the first team squad.

In what was predetermined as a huge test against an ever improving club the Reds put in one of their best performances of the season with every player giving their all for the full 90 minutes.

Ferry squandered some good chances during the game before excellent work from Tyler Brock saw the ball turned into their own net for the decisive goal shortly after half time.

A solid defensive display saw Rob Thomas the pick of a superb back four and Scott Tomlinson adding creation to an industrious midfield performance, added to this were a physical hour from Luke and Gareth Jones up top before the introduction of Tyler Brock who caused mayhem in the last half hour for the hosts.

The introduction of Jare Lake was another huge positive on the night making his first team debut in midfield after just turning 17.

The Reds now play 8 games in April before their final game of the season due to be played at the Old Road on Tuesday May 9th.

The win now sees the club in ninth place only a point behind Ammanford with a game in hand.
