BFL Ladies welcomed unbeaten South Wales Division 2 side to the Old Road on Sunday in the League Cup.
The hosts started well playing in their yellow away kit to accommodate the visitors who only had a red playing kit available.
In the 3rd minute Lucy Powell sent Ela Roberts away on the right and she cut in and struck her shot well but it was straight at the visitor’s keeper who impressed throughout pulling off numerous good saves.
In the 7th minute though Roberts did give the Ferry girls the lead when again she broke away down the right and saw her cross/shot drift into the far corner of the net.
The home side continued to dominate and in the 17th minute doubled their lead following a great run from Megan Kearle who saw her shot saved but striker Becca Rees was first to react to the rebound and tapped home to make it 2-0.
Five minutes later Rees became provider with a great cross from the bright for Renee Day to head home for 3-0.
The Ferry girls continued to control the game and forced the Coed Duon keeper into a number of good saves.
For the visitor’s their nippy striker was impressive when she got on the ball but she was well marshalled by the Ferry centre back partnership of Sophie Cardy & Catrin Davies.
They did have two shots on target in a one sided first half but they were comfortably saved by Jess Garlick.
