The Reds progressed to the last 16 of the Welsh League Cup but were made to work hard for the win by an impressive Panteg outfit.
Two Steve Davey goals brought the Reds back from behind twice during normal time before Conah McFenton was the hero in the penalty shoot out to see the team progress to play cup holders Trefelin in the next round home on 2/3 November.
