Briton Ferry Llansawel Ladies travelled to face Llangyfelach for the third time this season having already beaten them twice in the league.
The reds started well and went close in the third minute when Renee Day won the ball well in central midfield before playing in Lucy Powell who shot just over the bar.
Ten minutes later it was Powell who played in Day but with the same result with the shot flying over the bar.
Despite their early dominance the Ferry girls were unable to break the deadlock and in the 19th minute the hosts almost took the lead with their first chance of the game but keeper Jess Garlick remained alert to turn the ball around the post following a good shot.
The reds continued to press and in the 22nd minute Ela Roberts rounded the keeper only to see her effort cleared off the line by a covering Llangyfelach defender.
With 2 minutes remaining of the half the reds got the goal that their possession had deserved. Following good work from Becca Rees who played the ball into Powell but she could not get a strong enough touch on the ball, however Megan Kearle(pic) came in at the back post to finish well.

BFL continued to enjoy the majority of possession in the second half but were unable to break down the resolute Llangyfelach defence with Day on two occasions and Kearle firing efforts over the bar.
However midway through the half the second goal did come with a well delivered corner from Day turned in at the back post by Ela Roberts.
With a two-goal advantage, the Ferry girls now started to settle down and play some football on a very heavy pitch.
In the final 5 minutes they added two further goals, the first with a superb ball through from Kearle into the path of Day’s great run and she made no mistake slotting it past the outcoming keeper.
Then in the dying minutes another well delivered corner from Day was only half cleared and Catrin Davies followed up with a great header to score her first goal in Ferry colours to seal a 4-0 victory.

Star Player: Beth Kennedy – An assured performance in defence by Kennedy who read everything superbly, cutting out numerous balls forward from the hosts and also used the ball well to set her team off into attack.
