Young Reds remain unbeaten at summit - Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC

Mike Rutherford's Under 18's remain unbeaten in the West Wales Youth league after a 4-1 win at Mumbles Rangers on Sunday.

The young reds have hit the ground running after a busy summer recruitment programme from Rutherford having played six & won six with a plus 26 goal difference, also they have progressed in both league cup and the FAW Youth Cup.

In difficult conditions Joe Stiens give the team the lead after good work from the impressive Reuben Harris early doors before Mumbles equalised from the penalty spot before half time in a below par first half.

Some words at half time seemed to do the trick though with a change of formation and attitude saw a scintillating second period with a goal from Daniel Roberts and a brace from midfielder Luke Mildenhall against his old club.

Attention now turns to the most difficult game of the season against Welsh Youth League Cardiff based team STM Sports this Sunday in the FAW Youth Cup 2nd round before they welcome Killay at home the Sunday after.

Also some more positive news from the camp this week was the selection of Cam Williams for the Welsh Colleges U18s squad, a great achievement for the young forward.
