Midfielder Mike Walsh(pic) scorer of 2 first half headers
Wyn Evans team gained a brilliant win against Swansea Uni at the Old Road on Saturday to move top of Reserve Division West.
Luke Probert dropped into the starting eleven in goals after a late withdrawal by Ben Williams and with Josh Cockings missing Dan McGrath slotted in central defence alongside captain Alex Brayley.
In a strong team Ross Davies and Evan Corcoran completed the defense with Mike Walsh, Craig Money and new Portugese signing Jason De Almeida in the middle of the park, out wide were Barry Dennis and Lloyd Jones with the other recent signing from Portugese second tier team Damaienese striker Ruben Barros up front.
With Barros scoring five goals in his last 2 games expectancy was maybe on the young striker for the goals but that was not to be the case with club stalwart Mike Walsh proving to be the match winner with two superb first half headers setting the reds off on their way, a further goal before the interval from Lloyd Jones more or less settled the game by half time.
A solid second half with no further goals followed but 90 minutes and an excellent clean sheet for keeper Probert was another massive positive for his return to full fitness.
There is no game this Saturday for the team and they next play at Penybont on Saturday 9th of December.
M.O.M- Craig Money- Finding his way back to full fitness after his recent move to the Old Road and put in an impressive 90 minutes in midfield.
