About Us:
Briton Ferry Llansawel is a forward-thinking football club that has developed significantly since its inception in 2009, the result of a merger between Briton Ferry Athletic AFC and Llansawel FC. Last season both our Men and Women’s senior teams were promoted to the Cymru Premier and Adran Premier Divisions respectively the highest level in Wales. We also operate a very successful Category B Academy, an FAW accredited Girls Development Centre, along with a Veterans section, Walking Football and Pan Disability team.
Role Overview:
As the General Manager, you will be at the helm of Briton Ferry Llansawel's operations, responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and overall leadership. You will work closely with the club’s Chairman and board, coaching staff, players, and support teams to ensure the club's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the club's long-term strategy.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, develop revenue strategies, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the club, including administration, finance, and general resources.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build relationships with fans, sponsors, media, and the community.
- Staff Management: Recruit, manage, and develop club staff.
- Marketing and PR: Enhance the club’s brand through strategic marketing and public relations.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with regulations and implement effective governance practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field
- Experience: Significant relevant in sports management, preferably in football, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and industry knowledge.
- Attributes: Passion for football, integrity, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure.
