Development (U19) Team Manager – Vacancy

Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Development (U19) Team Manager to lead our U19 squad competing in the FAW National Academi South Development League.
This role is vital in supporting the development of talented young players within a high-quality academy environment, preparing them for progression into senior football. The successful candidate will work closely with the First Team Manager to ensure a clear pathway from the Development squad into the senior team while aligning playing philosophy and performance standards across the club.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver two weekly training sessions, incorporating Strength & Conditioning and Performance Analysis
- Manage the team in fixtures within the FAW National Academi South Development League
- Work closely with the First Team Manager to support player progression into senior football
- Ensure alignment between the Development squad and First Team playing philosophy
- Maintain the professional standards expected within the FAW National Academi programme
- Monitor and support the development of players both on and off the pitch
Essential Requirements
- UEFA B Licence (minimum requirement)
- Experience working within youth or development football environments
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to player development and pathway progression
Desirable
- UEFA A Licence or working towards the UEFA A Licence
- Experience within academy or elite youth football structures
- Understanding of FAW National Academi performance standards
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to undertake an FAW Enhanced DBS Check
- Commitment to maintaining the standards required within a National Academi environment
