Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC is pleased to confirm the appointment of Rhys James as the Club’s new Head of Academy and Football Administration, following a rigorous recruitment process that attracted several outstanding candidates.
After careful consideration, the Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC identified Rhys as the ideal person to lead the next phase of the Academy’s development, ensuring its continued growth, professionalism, and success.
Rhys returns to the Reds with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence. Having previously spent five years within Briton Ferry Llansawel’s Women and Girls’ department, he achieved remarkable success as Women’s First Team Manager, guiding the side to two Adran South titles, a Welsh Cup Final, and the highest league finish in Club history with a second-place finish in their return to the Adran Premier in 2024/25.

Rhys will officially assume his new position on 1st November 2025, as Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC continues to invest in the development of young talent and strengthen its commitment to football excellence at every level of the Club.
