Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC is proud to announce a new two-year partnership with Renewable Centre Wales part of The Hale Group, granting the company naming rights for the club’s iconic Old Road ground. As part of this exciting deal, the stadium will now be officially named the Renewable Centre Stadium.
This partnership unites a historic football club with a forward-thinking leader in the renewable energy sector, embodying both organisations’ shared dedication to sustainability and community engagement.
Stuart Williams, General manager of Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC, expressed his excitement over the partnership:
“This is a landmark moment for our club. We’re delighted to partner with Renewable Centre Wales, an organisation that shares our values of innovation, community involvement, and environmental responsibility. The Renewable Centre Stadium will represent not just a home for football, but a hub for positive change, as we work together on sustainable initiatives that benefit both our fans and the wider community. Alongside Ashley, the FAW and stakeholders we have a defined plan for major investment over the coming years to develop the stadium into one that is state of the art, sustainable and community minded.”
Ashley Hale, CEO of The Renewable Centre, added:
“We’re thrilled to support Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC, a club with such deep roots in the local community. As a company committed to renewable energy and sustainability, partnering with a club that is so passionate about its community aligns perfectly with our vision. We look forward to working closely with the club over the next two years, fostering awareness of renewable energy solutions while supporting the team’s success.”
The agreement will see Renewable Centre Wales’ branding featured prominently throughout the stadium, with new signage, digital platforms, and promotional activities that emphasise both the club’s legacy and the future of sustainable energy. In addition, both parties will collaborate on community-focused initiatives that promote renewable energy awareness and environmental education.
The newly named The Renewable Centre Stadium will host its first official match under the new branding this Sunday live on S4C with the Womens team playing Cardiff City, ushering in an exciting new era for both Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC and the local community.
